  • This course will provide the participant with a template to return the post surgical shoulder back to the popular, but stressful, exercise of bench pressing. It will describe all aspects of a Bankart lesion, its definition, mechanism of injury and its surgical repair versus non operative outcomes. A progression from post operative, to sub acute and into the advanced rehabilitation with its guidelines will be discussed. The later stages will focus on the pushing progression with the ultimate return to bench pressing.   • Provide & discuss exercise progression from subacute to return to bench pressing.
  • Review proper set up for the bench press exercise.
