2-hour On-Demand: Plant-Based Diets

Price: $40.00

Course Description & Information:

  • Most of us could stand to eat more plants. In fact, an estimated 90% of Americans do not get their recommended intake of fruits and veggies. Eating more produce helps lower your risk of heart disease, diabetes, and even some cancers. There are many types of plant-based diets, but they all emphasize certain foods associated with heart benefits, such as whole grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, nuts, and healthy oils like olive oil. The diets that have been most studied for their impact on heart health include the Mediterranean diet, the DASH diet, and the MIND diet. These diets are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals that not only reduce disease risk but help to maintain a healthy weight.
