  • Myasthenia gravis is a chronic autoimmune neuromuscular disease characterized by varying degrees of weakness of the skeletal (voluntary) muscles of the body. The core symptom is muscle weakness that increases during periods of activity and improves after periods of rest. This course reviews causes, symptoms and treatment of myasthenia gravis.   • Identify the relationship between the thymus gland and myasthenia gravis.
  • State core symptoms of myasthenia gravis.

  • Discuss the potential impact of the COVID-19 vaccine on immune mediated diseases such as myasthenia gravis.
