  • This 2 hour webinar will provide the participant with an overview of anatomy, biomechanics and common pathology related to the knee. It will cover basic evaluation techniques and special tests. The course will provide a wide variety of exercises to address balance, stability and multi planar strengthening. Application of both isolated and integrated exercise will be presented to assist the clinician in maximizing outcomes. Intermediate level.

Course Objectives:

  • List bony and ligament and cartilage anatomy of the knee.
  • Identify the mechanisms of common knee injuries.
  • Explain evaluation techniques and special tests for various knee injuries
  • Describe exercises for balance and stability in knee rehabilitation.
  • Illustrate sagittal, frontal and transverse plane exercises to be utilized in knee rehabilitation.
  • Explain overload and progression of exercises from isolated to integrated.
  • Define agility and plyometrics and their application to knee rehabilitation.

Learning Outcome: At least 80% of class participants will score 70% or greater on course post-test.
