2-hour On-Demand: Fasting & Intermittent Fasting Protocols
Course Description & Information:
- As a weight loss approach fasting and intermittent fasting (IF) has been around for a long time and have been shown to aid in weight loss, lowering of blood pressure, cholesterol and improvement in blood glucose and insulin levels. Studies in humans, almost across the board, have shown that IF is safe and incredibly effective, but really no more effective than any other diet. In addition, many people find it difficult to fast. But a growing body of research suggests that the timing of the fast is key, and can make IF a more realistic, sustainable, and effective approach for weight loss, as well as for diabetes prevention. This course reviews current research on fasting and intermittent fasting protocols and how these diets can be safely used to help prevent and/or treat different diseases.
