Course Objectives:
- Identify the process of drug absorption and give an example of how food may impact absorption.
- State how grapefruit juice influences drug metabolism.
- Identify the most common food/nutrient-drug interactions.
- Review common herb-drug interactions.
- List available resources for identifying common drug-nutrient and drug-herb interactions.
- Identify techniques to avoid and minimize drug-nutrient interactions.
Learning Outcome: At least 80% of class participants will score 70% or greater on course post-test.
