COVID-19 Vaccines

  • This course provides the most current information about the COVID-19 vaccines currently available in the United States.

Course Objectives/Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and components of the virus that would make good vaccine targets.
  • Differentiate different types of vaccines in use, or projected to be in use, for prevention of Covid-19 disease.
  • Explain what may be done with vaccines to compensate for emergence of new strains of SARS-CoV-2.
  • Summarize adverse effects of these vaccines.
  • Recognize the possibility of long-term immunity from the vaccines, and whether this is desirable, or unnecessary.
  • List Adverse effects of these vaccines.
