With the ability to increase strength and muscle size with low loads BFR is gaining popularity and curiosity in the rehabilitation setting. This course is designed to provide the participant with the history and application of blood flow restriction for both the general and rehabilitation populations. The course will cover the pros and cons of BFR, precautions & contraindications, the proper application and current protocols for using BFR. Research will be provided and discussed for various populations including but not limited to cycling, post-operative, upper extremity and weight lifting applications.
