Nutrition for Inflammation & Pain
Course Description:
Inflammation is associated with many diseases today in both an acute and chronic state. Inflammation is the body’s response to a perceived threat. The “threat” can produce either a low-grade systemic response or a mount a full inflammatory response. All levels of inflammation have a negative effect on the body and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and other disease states. This seminar explores the connection between inflammation and pain and what can be done to reduce both. Key techniques to reduce inflammation and pain include nutrition therapy and exercise. Intermediate level.
