3-hour On-Demand: Brain Health, Nutrition, and Cognitive Performance

Course Description & Information:

  • Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is an intermediate stage between the expected cognitive decline of normal aging and the more serious decline of dementia. It can involve problems with memory, language, thinking and judgment that are greater than normal age-related changes. Nutrition has been shown to be an integral part of brain function and cognitive performance. Nutrients including amino acids, omega-3 fatty acids, caffeine and carbohydrates each have a documented effect on cognition. Nutrition and its relationship to diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease can also effect brain function and cognition. Each of these topics will be explored in this webinar.
