  • Reveiw the role of sodium in blood pressure recommendation and the current recommendation to reduce sodium intake in the management of hypertension.
  • List dietary interventions to reduce sodium in the average American diet and review the health benefits of a lower sodium diet.

Course Description

  • Sodium intake is critical to electrolyte balance. However, too much sodium can have an adverse effect on our health. This course reviews the current research on sodium and how it affects our health along with current recommendations for intake. Education level: Beginner to Intermediate.
