  • Sjögren’s syndrome is a systemic autoimmune disease that affects the entire body. Many patients experience dry eyes, dry mouth, fatigue and joint pain but the disease can also affect the kidneys, gastrointestinal system, blood vessels, lungs, liver, pancreas, and the central nervous system. Approximately 4 million Americans suffer from Sjögren’s and 90% of them are women. Sjogren's syndrome often accompanies other immune system disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. This course reviews the risk factors, disease complications, diagnostic tests, treatment strategies and lifestyle interventions.

  • List clinical features commonly associated with Sjögren’s syndrome.
