Course Objectives

  • Identify current treatment options for insulin resistance and hyperandrogenism in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
  • Discuss the role of PCOS and increased risk of cardiovascular disease and thrombosis.

Course Description

  • PCOS effects in 1 in 10 women and due to increased rates of obesity, these numbers are likely to increase. This course reveiws current research on PCOS, consequences and current treatment protocols. Education level: Beginner to Intermediate.
